The presentation will cover the key provisions of the Act, including the tiers of support, the guiding principles, the role of the DSS, the functional assessment of capacity, who is eligible to become a decision supporter, how they supervise decision supporters and investigate complaints about them.

Reflective Practice Workshop

Date: Thursday 21st September 2023
Time: 9.30am – 1.30pm (registration 9.15am)

The morning is divided up into two modules:

  1. Introduction to Reflective Practice for HSCP
  2. HSCP with Experience of Reflective Practice.

Location: Springfield Hotel, Leixlip, Co Kildare, W23 W280
Number of Delegates: Limited to a small group
Break: 11.30am for 15 minutes
For: Members of The Irish Aftercare Network

Outcomes:
By the end of these modules, you will be able to:

  • define reflective practice and its purpose
  • use a reflective practice framework
  • write reflectively
  • explore reflective enquiry, critical reflection, and reflexivity
  • support CORU requirements.
